Parking4Parcels

Here's how it works:

1

Buying Parking4Parcel Vouchers (Tickets)

Tickets are sold in booklets of 10, with different values:

R5 tickets – R50 per booklet
R10 tickets – R100 per booklet
R20 tickets – R200 per booklet

Most people buy R5 booklets, but you can also buy the higher value tickets for larger payments (e.g., for watching your car during lunch or a meeting, car wash, or small chores).

2

Giving Parking4Parcel Vouchers (Tickets)

You can give these tickets to car guards or anyone who needs food help. The person receiving the tickets can then take them to the Food4Futures office and exchange them for food and other essential items.

3

Redeeming or Exchanging Parking4Parcel Vouchers (Tickets)

The tickets can be exchanged for items such as:

Food: Rice, maize meal, sugar, tea, 2-minute noodles, soya mince, baked beans, flour, yeast, long-life milk, and more.

Personal Care Items: Soap, toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary pads, nappies, and more.

Other Essentials: Electricity vouchers (starting from R5), candles, matches, and more.

Why use Parking4Parcel Vouchers?

1

ITS A WIN/WIN

For you: You don't need to carry cash for small payments and can easily support the community.

For those in need: They can exchange the tickets for food and necessities, giving them access to items they may not be able to afford otherwise.

2

Affordable and Value for Money

The items are sourced at wholesale prices, making the value for money excellent.
By offering smaller quantities, it also helps provide a wider selection of affordable food.

3

The Growth of the Project

What started in November of 2021, as a small initiative has grown significantly.

Parking4Parcel Ticket sales in the forst month were just R400, and over the last 3 years the project has grown to where we were able to sell R13 465 in October 2024 alone, which translates to food and essentials making thier way into the community which would otherwise not be available.

This project has become a trusted and reliable way to help those in need.

A hot cup of coffee and a freshly made vetkoek have quickly become our most beloved treats!

There's something truly special about sharing these simple joys—watching people's faces light up as they take that first sip or bite.

It’s not just about the food or drink, but about bringing warmth and comfort to someone's day.

It’s about filling empty stomachs and lifting spirits, one smile at a time. We’re so grateful to be a small part of making someone's day just a little bit brighter.
